'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial major achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
